WATER LINE IN HAITI copy.jpg

I have never been trained formally in visual art, but I have been fortunate to have been included in exhibits in Philadelphia, St. Thomas, USVI, and Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY over the years, and have sold numerous pieces. > My subject matter reflects my passion for the written word, and deeper devotion    to the energy of tactile visual art.  Inspired by William H. Johnson and Romare Bearden, I use mixed media, collage, acrylic and watercolor – texture, textiles and ancestral tenacity – to translate from my mind’s eye an individual, collective and historical perspective on the amazing story of Africans displaced to North America and the Caribbean. > I thank the Creator every day for my gift – and for every opportunity to share this blessing with others. Aché.
